Former Governor of Pennsylvania and the first Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge will deliver the 2012 Clement Lecture at 3:15 p.m. on April 3, in the Washington Room of Mather Hall at Trinity College. The Clement Lecture series was created by St. Anthony Hall, in memory of Martin W. Clement, Class of 1901, Hon. 1951.
Governor Ridge served as a member of the United States House of Representatives (1983–1995), the 43rd Governor of Pennsylvania (1995–2001), assistant to the president for Homeland Security (2001–2003), and the first United States Secretary of Homeland Security (2003–2005). "Being an election year and considering the security challenges we face globally, nationally, and even here on Trinity’s campus, we are thrilled to have Governor Ridge present the 2012 Clement Lecture," notes President of St. Anthony Hall Matthew Tesone, a senior at Trinity.
Reception at 5PM at Hall.
